On the road to Phandolin

On the road
Starting in the town of Neverwinter (redacted to be Dahrinmoor), a group of strangers gather together. They've been contracted by Gundrin Rockseeker to provide security for a wagon full of mining supplies on its way to the town of Phandolin. The road is usually safe but lately there have been rumours of monsters and bandits accosting travellers.
The group consists of a gnome cleric ( Sister Zoop Timbers), a dragonborn monk (Donaar), a tiefling barbarian (Gravehorn), a human warlock (Wymar Armitage, Jr), an elf druid (Dior of Doriath), and a dwarf fighter (Helja Rumnaheim). They've never met each other before and begin idle chitchat as they begin their journey.
Coming around a bend in the trail, they see a barricade ahead. It appears that the remains of two horses are blocking the road. The group exits the wagon to break up the roadblock and are attacked by goblins! Four goblins attempt to kill the party but are outmatched. Three are killed while one runs off into the woods in terror.
The group pulls the wagon off to the side of the road and begins tracking the last goblin. Its trail leads to a cave several minutes away. Going inside, the group discovers more goblins spread across several chambers. There's even a 'stable' chamber, full of wolves and a warg for someone to ride. Zoop tames it but isn't allowed to keep her new pet.
One of the chambers holds a couple goblins with a hostage, a human male known as Sildar Hallwinter. Sildar is roughed up but doing well, and the goblins negotiate his release in exchange for the group killing their leader, a bugbear named "Klarg".
The group goes off to find Klarg, eventually discovering him in a large chamber along with 2 more goblins and a wolf. A fight ensues and Klarg is slaughtered. The group discovers a stash of supplies, mining gear, and assorted crates - the loot the goblins had been taking from their roadblock ambush. Sildar is recovered, and everyone leaves the caves to go rest back at the wagon.
Sildar reveals he is a Predicator of the Divine Order, the organization in charge of distributing religion to the masses in this world.
The group arrives in Phandolin the next day.
