Enter the Mine
Highlights
- The party meets up with Nezznar at the entrance to the mine
- The party agrees to help Nezznar open the mine, and convinces her to join them inside
Synopsis
Distrusting Nezznar, the PCs take a cautious approach to their meeting. Zoop Timbers is the only person to physically participate in the meeting, the other PC's watch from a nearby cliff. Anima uses the spell Major Image to make it appear that the rest of the party is participating in the discussion, and by a stroke of luck and several natural 20 rolls, this is not discovered.
Nezznar tells the party that she has no interest in the contents of the mine, but rather a academic interest only in seeing it open. She tells the PCs that if they assist in opening it, they are welcome to whatever treasures they find inside, and that she will send a few of her choice guards to assist the PCs in the mine. Zoop managers to convince Nezznar to join the PCs into the mine.
Nezznar explains how the mine will be opened. The keys will be handed out, each according to it's designated race, to a party member who must insert the key and cast a spell into it. This all must be done in unison, and then the mine will open. Immediately upon opening the mine, Toah dimension doors just inside the entrance, which conceals the fact that he has already met the PCs.
